Opportunites in the Economy

Some people would say with the economy slowing down and rising gas prices that this isn't the best time to start freelancing. Bad timing if you will. Luckily I don't believe in bad timing but I do believe in the consistent creation of opportunities. "Within every adversity is an equal or greater benefit." - Napoleon Hill Opportunities are presented to us everyday in different ways. Sometimes they are opaque and easy to see and other times they are more transparent and encrypted. That is why I don't believe in bad timing. Look for present opportunities and you will reap the rewards. For instance as a freelancer I can work globally, or focus on over-looked niches in business. Plus with a slowing economy businesses have tighter budgets which results in the need more flexibility and agility. A freelancer solves this problem because commitment is narrowed down to a project by project basis. Finding the right niche and taking action on the right opportunities can help any business weather the storm. Appreciate every client you work with, put 110% effort into building a relationship that goes beyond the project at hand. Listen, listen, and listen and you may just learn something from the client and don't forget to keep your eyes open for those hidden opportunities. |
